Segun Arole, pastor of Holy Holy Church, has expressed concern about the whereabouts of gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu, also known as Omije Ojumi, who has been struggling with a long-term illness.
In October 2025, a video of Akinnaanu looking unwell appeared online and caused concern among her fans.
The video showed her crying and having trouble speaking during a prayer session. She had a bandage on her hand, and her leg looked swollen.
During the session, the pastor placed his foot on hers and prayed for her healing, encouraging her to keep faith that she would recover and share her testimony.

A few weeks later, her colleagues Yinka Alaseyori and Sarah Apekeola asked fans and well-wishers to support her.
They posted pictures of the singer on Instagram and asked for help.

Other artists, including Olabest, Alayo Melody, and Lanre Alewilese, also asked for financial help.
Recently, Arole asked about the singer’s whereabouts and requested an update on her health.
He also wanted to know if the donations collected were enough for her treatment.
In the video he was heard saying: “Singer Omije Oju mi. We heard that she was sick and we donated money. You can’t tell us to be praying without knowing her condition.

“What are the Yoruba Gospel Artistes doing about this? People close to her should please update us about her situation. If she needs more money for medical treatment, let us know. This woman must not d!e’.’’
Bunmi Akinnaanu, known for gospel songs like ‘Omije Ojumi’ and ‘O Ti Sure’, has inspired many people with her music over the years.
