
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has revealed that she burned the outfit she wore to the burial of her late colleague, Alex Ekubo.
The late actor died on May 11 at the age of 40 after battling cancer. He was buried on June 18 in his hometown, Arochukwu, Abia State.
Okorie was among those who gathered to say their final goodbyes to him.
A few days after the funeral, Okorie posted a video on her Instagram story showing herself burning the outfit. She explained that her godmother advised her not to keep clothes worn to a burial and said they should be burned.

She said she wanted to share this information so that family and friends would be aware.

“This is the outfit I wore to Alex’s burial; my Godmother said it is not good to have the clothes you wore to a burial around you. You burn them, So family and friends take note, i felt i should share thsis information. May the lord keep and bless us with long life, amen,” she wrote

Meanwhile, ace Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has stated that everyone must adjust to life without the late movie actor Alexx Ekubo after he was laid to rest.
In a lengthy post on his Instagram page, he noted how life has gone on since Alex Ekubo’s burial. He pointed out how, after his burial, many rushed to catch flights, hurried back to work, markets opened, children went to school, wedding plans were made, and phones kept ringing.
AY said the painful reminder is that life never pauses for anyone. He explained that no matter how loved, famous, or wealthy one is, the world keeps moving when they leave.
The comedian said the greatest lesson is not how long we live, but how well we love.
