Femi Afolabi Brown, who is married to media personality Morayo Brown, talked about the early years of their marriage. He said they faced tough times before they learned to trust and understand each other.
During a discussion with Morayo Brown, Femi shared that the first three years of their marriage were marked by frequent arguments and raised voices.
He said that as their relationship grew, things changed. After about five years, he felt he could fully trust his wife.

The businessman also spoke about the advice he received before and after getting married.
He shared that some people advised him not to be too kind or gentle with his wife, warning that she might take advantage of him.

But he explained that his father challenged that way of thinking and encouraged him to approach his marriage differently.
Femi shared that his father’s advice helped him avoid choices that might have hurt his relationship. This support helped him and his wife grow closer over time.
Femi also mentioned that he and Morayo Brown chose to wait until marriage before having sex.
He said the decision came after Morayo’s mother appealed to him to abstain until the wedding.

According to him, his mother-in-law believed that choosing to wait before marriage would strengthen his faith and give him more confidence when praying to God for his expectations regarding the marriage.
He said: “I didn’t have premarital sex with my wife because her mother begged me not to. She said if I can abstain, there are certain demands I will place on God, and he will answer.
“Besides, I have been having sex before anyways, so if I abstain for once, it should be okay andshouldn’t be a problem.”
