Why I don’t respond to critics — Toyin Abraham
Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has taken to her Instagram to reveal the reason why she does not respond to critics on the internet saying things about her.
According to the mother of one, there’s power in silence as these things are better ignored than engaged. The actress also urged fans not to give people the power to bait them into an expected reaction.
The actress and producer said, “A lot of times, we don’t talk about how powerful and wholesome silence can be. I think that’s because society has made us believe that having the last word is a kind of winning.”
Abraham continued to speak about her critics, “See, most times, I do not respond to many things not because I do not see them but because I believe they are better ignored than engaged. Honestly, my darlings, it is not everything that screams at us that deserves our responses.”
