Why I Launched Paint Company- Adekunle Gold

Afro-fusion singer, Adekunle Gold, recently surprised fans when he announced the launch of his paint company called Shades.

The singer made the announcement on his social media page while revealing that he had been nursing the idea for some years.

“Today is a great day. Great, because finally, I get to share something I’ve been working on for years with you. Shades, The Paint Company – Adekunle Kosoko’s Premium Acrylic paint company to serve all people and all energies,” he wrote on Instagram.

“My inspiration was you. Is you. I wanted to give you a way to express yourself through colours. To have you walk in the room with walls speaking our language and letting you feel exactly how you choose.”

But even as Adekunle Gold ventured into the business landscape, not just a few wondered why he decided to go into paint production.

However, the singer revealed in a chat with TheCable, that his love for colours; and interior design inspired him to start a paint manufacturing company.

He added that he had been “toying” with the idea for 3 years until recently when he decided to take the step.

“I started toying with the idea of manufacturing paints 3 years ago. I am really passionate about Interior design so I did a lot of studying about paint formulation,” he said.
