Yemi Solade, the Veteran Nollywood actor, has publicly apologised to his colleague, actor Afeez Owo, for a physical altercation that occurred more than 20 years ago in Oyo State.

Solade, during a recent Interview, recounted a troubling incident that took place during a film production, where he took out his frustration on Owo.

According to the veteran, he, alongside the cast and crew, arrived at the location and found it engulfed in darkness due to a power outage; they had to wait for the power to be restored. Angered by the situation, Solade slapped Owo who was serving as the production manager at the time.

“I want to apologize to Afeez Owo because I once slapped him,” Solade said. “He was the production manager of a movie over twenty years ago in Oyo State. When we got to the location, there was a blackout everywhere and I had to put all the frustration and blame on him. He got me infuriated and the slap came from nowhere in the dark. He left the location very early in the morning before everyone woke up. Afeez, I am sorry.”
