Why I Solicited Funds For Cancer Care Without Knowing How Much Treatment Costed – Blessing CEO

Controversial Relationship expert, Blessing CEO, has responded to those criticising her decision to seek financial help from the public to help pay for cancer treatment.

It would be recalled that the Nigerian influencer recently shared that she was diagnosed with breast cancer last month, then asked people to help fund her surgery.

However, some people doubted her announcement and accused her of possibly trying to get money by misleading others.

In an Instagram Live session with radio host Daddy Freeze, Blessing explained that she asked for help early to prepare financially, even though she did not yet know the exact cost of the surgery.

She explained that her surgery was delayed because of the live session. She also mentioned that extra medical tests and post-surgery care would raise her costs, which led her to ask for support.

She said that raising funds now could help her avoid needing to ask for help later if her health got worse.

“I was diagnosed with cancer in January 2026. After the diagnosis, I began preparing for a mastectomy to determine how far the tumour has spread. The surgery was initially scheduled for last week but was postponed because of this live session with Daddy Freeze,” she said.

“I asked for financial assistance because I need funds for the surgery, even though I don’t yet know the exact cost. Until now, I was unclear about the full process. I was told that after the mastectomy, further tests would still be needed to ensure the cancer has not spread to other parts of the body.

“Some people also said recovery can be very difficult, so asking for support is my way of preparing ahead rather than reaching out during a more vulnerable moment.
