Popular Nigerian streamer and content creator Carter Efe has made a heartfelt appeal to reconnect with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, admitting that he still hopes to receive recognition from the singer despite their strained history.
Speaking during a recent interaction with Wizkid’s longtime manager, Sunday Are, Carter Efe openly asked for help in reaching the music star.
He explained that he has always admired Wizkid and would appreciate an opportunity to speak with him directly.
According to Carter Efe, his past actions were never motivated by dislike or resentment. Instead, he said they stemmed from frustration over not receiving any acknowledgement from Wizkid, particularly after the release of his hit tribute song, Machala.
The content creator revealed that he deeply respects Wizkid and remains a devoted fan of both the singer and his music.

He admitted that his attempts to get the artiste’s attention may have come across the wrong way but insisted that they were driven by admiration rather than hostility.
The conversation comes years after Carter Efe released Machala in 2022, a song inspired by one of Wizkid’s most popular nicknames.
The track became a viral sensation, dominating social media conversations and enjoying significant success on music charts across Nigeria.
Despite the song’s popularity and its clear tribute to the Grammy-winning singer, Wizkid has never publicly acknowledged either Carter Efe or the song in any official capacity.

Responding to the appeal, Sunday Are did not guarantee a direct connection with Wizkid. However, he advised Carter Efe to approach the situation with greater maturity and patience.
