American filmmaker, actor and entertainment mogul Tyler Perry has opened up about his decision to stay unmarried, saying the financial consequences he has seen people face after divorce have influenced his outlook on marriage.
Perry, has never been married, as he made the comment while discussing relationships and the realities that can come with ending a marriage.
According to the filmmaker, he has watched people who were financially comfortable lose significant portions of their wealth following divorce.

Perry said: “I’m never marrying, and it’s actually because of the divorce pandemic that’s happening.
Perry added: “Everybody that I know that was doing well went broke because of divorce.”

Aside his decision on not getting married, Perry has built an enormous career through acting, writing, directing and producing.
