Will and Jada Smith spotted out together for the first time since Oscars slap

American actor, Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith have been spotted together for the first time since Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, five months ago.

The duo were spotted together leaving Nobu in Malibu, California on Saturday.

Will was spotted in a navy polo shirt, matching pants and ball cap, while Jada wore a black utility-style jumpsuit with a flannel tied around her waist and oversized shades.

On March 27, the 53 year old award winning actor, made headlines after he rushed the Oscars stage and hit Chris Rock, in the face, after he had made a joke about his wife and her hairstyle at the time. 

That night, Will won the award for Best Actor for his performance in King Richard. However, he resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

He also issued a public apology to Rock on Instagram. 

Last month, Will posted for the first time on social media since the apology. In the post, he spoke about the time he had taken  to reflect on the drama. According to him, he had “been doing a lot of thinking and personal work.”

He said, “I spent the last three months replaying and understanding the nuances and the complexities of what happened in that moment. And I’m not going to try to unpack all of that right now. But I can say to all of you, there is no part of me that thinks that was the right way to behave in that moment. There is no part of me that thinks that’s the optimal way to handle a feeling of disrespect or insults.”
