Wizkid, Banky W Slam Buhari Over N27bn National Assembly Renovation Fund
Popular singer and actor, Banky W and his protege Wizkid, have slammed President Muhammadu Buhari, for allocating N27 billion for the renovation of the National Assembly complex.
Reacting to the development on Twitter, Banky W tagged the Buhari-led administration heartless, asking all the parties involved to explain their reason for the decison at a time Nigerians are struggling to survive.
The Lagos Party singer wrote; “At a time when most Nigerians are seriously struggling with being able to afford everything from FOOD to Healthcare, our National Assembly is going to spend N27 BILLION on “renovations”!
“EDUCATION BUDGET? CUT BY 55% BASIC HEALTHCARE PROVISION FUND?? CUT BY 42.5%! People are starving! And our National Assembly thinks it’s okay to spend N27 BILLION on Renovations of their complex!?! This is HEARTLESS! Our Reps & Senators should PLEASE come and explain this to us.”
Supporting Banky W’s criticism, Wizkid admitted that Nigeria is in mess due to bad leadership.
While encouraging everyone to use their civil right to elect God-fearing leaders in the next general elections, the Joro singer said there is more to be done to have better people at the helm of affairs.
