Wizkid Joins #EndSars Protest
Popular singer, Ayodeji Balogun otherwise known as Wizkid, has on Sunday, October 4, 2020, joined the league of celebrities condemning the brutal attacks on Nigerians by operatives of a police department, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
For more than 24 hours now, SARS has been trending with the hashtag #EndSARS on Nigeria’s social media community.
The demand for an end to SARS dominated social media activities, as many users used #EndSARS to list allegations of extra-judicial killings, wanton arrests and dispossession of properties through physical assault and other intimidation tactics against the police department.
Reacting to the development, Wizkid charged President Muhammadu Buhari to be concerned about the burning issue, which he said has since been causing civil unrest.
“Old man! Police/Sarz still killing Nigerian youth on a daily! Do something!
Nothing concern u for America! Face your country !!,” he wrote the president.
