Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is set to host an exclusive pre-release party in Paris, France, ahead of the release of his highly anticipated new album.
The Grammy-winning Afrobeats superstar will hold the event on June 25 at Cova Club Paris in collaboration with Deeds Paris Fashion Week (PFW), giving fans and industry insiders a special preview of what is expected to be his next major music project.
The announcement was made through Deeds Magazine’s Instagram page, where organisers revealed that the event will be hosted by Sina Braetz, Grey93 and Rae.
The gathering is expected to bring together music lovers, creatives and key figures from the entertainment and fashion industries.
Excitement surrounding the project has continued to grow in recent days after Wizkid teased new music on his official X handle with a brief but intriguing message: “Album.”
While the singer has yet to share further details about the project, the post immediately sparked anticipation among his fans across the world.
The upcoming release will mark Wizkid’s first major body of work since Morayo, his fifth studio album, which was released in November 2024.
The project held deep personal significance for the singer as it was dedicated to the memory of his mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.
Over the years, Wizkid has built an impressive catalogue of music that has helped shape the global rise of Afrobeats. His previous albums include Ayo (2014), Sounds From The Other Side (2017) and the critically acclaimed Made In Lagos (2020), which featured collaborations with international and African stars such as Damian Marley, Skepta, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Burna Boy, Tems and Terri.
