Wizkid to Buhari: Resign Now

Popular singer, Wizkid has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign from his office.

The music star made this request following the mayhem unleashed on peaceful #EndSARS protesters.

Information reaching eelive.ng has it that the protesters who were peacefully agitating for an end to police brutality in the country, were attacked and subsequently killed by armed men in military uniform.

Reacting to the massacre, Wizkid noted that Nigeria needs overhaul of her entire leadership, and according to him, the resignation of the president, Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, is sacrosanct to the overhaul.

“@MBuhari you are a failure! Old and incompetent! Step down! We don’t want you, your Vice President and your IG! Resign!” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, in an earlier report, Wizkid revealed that he would not be quiet on the ongoing movement against police brutality in Nigeria because the problem is age-long.

His words: “I’m not stupid. Believe me, I’m going to speak. We see all of these things. We recognise these things and I want to say shout out to everybody that goes out to speak for themselves. I’m glad people are advocating for a real change.

“Just keep doing what you do, keep empowering people. Because, really, we need to make them understand that we can do things in our own way. Then, like I keep telling people, you cannot let your environment determine your end result.

“More so, like I tell my kids every day, the next generation needs to advance the change in our political environment. Yeah, I get emotional when I talk about this stuff and I love that. I love that brother. I’m talking about this a lot because it’s amazing to see that people are beginning to speak up and that’s what I learned.”
