She stated that she ended her relationship with her long-term partner because she was “lowkey jealous” of single women.

She wrote: “Tell me why I woke up one random morning, rolled over, looked at this man sleeping good as hẽll next to me, and something in my spirit just said ‘yeah… It’s time for you to go.’

“I had been feeling it for a minute, but kept brushing it off. Then one day it finally clicked.

“I was scrolling on my phone seeing single women living their life… quiet house, clean space, doing what they want when they want. And instead of feeling sorry for them like society is telling us to… I was lowkey jealous.

“Because let’s be real… Single women ain’t waking up every day thinking about what grown man they gotta feed. They are not standing in the kitchen making full-course meals like they are running a restaurant. They are not cleaning up behind somebody who said ‘I was finna do it’ three hours ago.

“Meanwhile, I’m over here planning dinners, doing laundry, picking up random cups, answering ‘what are we eating today?’ every single day like it’s my full-time job. And that morning it just hit me… I don’t want this life right now.

“I wanna wake up and do absolutely nothing. I wanna lie in my bed all day if I feel like it. Funky hair, bonnet crooked, snacks all around me. I wanna scroll TikTok, eat chips, fall asleep, wake up, and do it again. No explaining. No guilt. No responsibilities to anybody but me. I wanna leave dishes in the sink because I can. I wanna order food three nights in a row without hearing ‘you ain’t cooking?’ I wanna exist in my house like it’s actually mine.

“So yeah… that morning I told him ‘You gotta start figuring out where you’re going.’ He thought I was joking. But I sure tf wasn’t.

“Sometimes you just realize you’ve been carrying a life that doesn’t feel like yours anymore. Sometimes choosing peace looks crazy to everybody else… But baby, when you finally choose yourself? That silence in the house hit different.”

As her post went viral and received mixed reactions, with people debating whether she was right or wrong, she added: “And no, I don’t miss him. I miss my peace, my bed snacks, and doing absolutely NOTHING when I feel like it. I chose myself, and I’m not apologising for it. I prolly won’t take my bath til tomorrow and brush my teeth around 7pm.”
