Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), a social media critic, has shared his distressing experience in Jos, Plateau State, after criticizing the state’s governor, Caleb Mutfwang, over the recent killings in some parts of the state.
In a series of videos, VDM recounted how he received a hostile reception from locals who seemed to be upset about his comments on the governor.
According to VDM, upon arriving in Jos, he noticed some locals speaking about him in his indigenous language, questioning whether he was the “guy who insulted the governor.” The situation escalated when another indigene refused to shake his hand during an outing, further fueling his frustration.
VDM expressed his disappointment and anger, stating that the hostility he faced was a direct result of his speaking out against the governor about the unfortunate events in the state. Despite the backlash, VDM vowed to continue speaking out against injustice and blasting politicians who he believes are not doing enough to address the issues plaguing the state.
In a caption accompanying one of the videos, VDM wrote, “To all the people of Jos Plateau state, I came to your state to receive the worst embarrassment of my life because I spoke about the killings that are going on in Bokkos and Bassa. It is depressing that even after what’s going on, some people still think it’s about party or content. To sum this up, God punish all the idle politicians in Jos Plateau state, God punish PDP, APC, and other political parties. Now that I know my insult has touched you people, I will be doing more until something is done.”
