Yemi Alade’s “Woman Of Steel” Album Is Out!
With a remarkable 2019 so far, Yemi Alade has topped up her achievements with the release of a full-course 15-track project titled “Woman of Steel”.
The album opens with a sensual number, “Night and Day”, which sees the artiste flaunt her ability to make innocent yet catchy tunes that are laden with sexual undertones. She also portrays this skill on the Duncan Mighty-assisted “Shake” and the mellow tune, “Vibe”.
She does some storytelling on “Yeba”, about a Yoruba demon she’s wise enough to avoid after her experience with “Johnny”. Flaunting her versatility, Alade infuses a bunch of different sounds into Woman of Steel — from reggae notes on “CIA (Criminal In Agbada)” to R&B on “Remind You”, “Lai Lai” and “Somto”.
‘Mama Africa’ also featured the legendary Angelique Kidjo on one of the standout tracks on the project, “Shekere”. Their amazing synergy makes their duet one of the strongest tracks on the entire album.
“Woman of Steel” reaffirms Yemi Alade’s position as one of Nigeria’s most consistent hit-makers.
