Several other actresses have come forward to praise Iyabo’s good heart, generosity, and willingness to help others in need.

Just like myself and a lot of us, @iyaboojofespris is not perfect. She’s unfortunately been entangled in a lot of emotionally controversial situations, but beyond all the controversies, she’s also been an angel to so many. Babe, life is a season; stay strong, faithful and true. Heaven will definitely see you and yours through this difficult season,” she wrote on Instagram.

On July 8, 2025, a blaze ravaged Iyabo’s office in Lagos. While thankfully no one was injured, significant valuables were lost. She expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Fire Service and her team for preventing further damage .

The fire occurred only weeks after Iyabo’s daughter, Priscilla, revealed that an anonymous “Aggrieved Group” delivered a threat letter to the office on May 24, 2025, warning of monitored movement and predicting disaster for Priscilla’s marriage .

In response, Iyabo has spoken out about threats to her life and family. On July 10, she confirmed that her office received an ominous letter, and disturbing “coffin videos” have since circulated, suggesting a coordinated campaign against her

Adding to the turmoil is a renewed feud with actress Lizzy Anjorin. Lizzy claimed Iyabo’s ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit was dismissed, but Iyabo clarified it was an Alternative Dispute Resolution session, not a formal lawsuit,  and she warned Lizzy in a video, “If anything should happen to my children… hold Lizzy Anjorin responsible” .

Despite these hardships, Iyabo is being lifted by a wave of solidarity, friends and colleagues like Opeyemi Aiyeola, along with others in Nollywood, have praised her generosity, resilience, and kindness.
