Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Pere Egbi, has joined many fans and colleagues in celebrating Cross Ikechukwu Okonkwo, popularly known as Cross, following his recent engagement.
News broke on Tuesday night that Cross had finally taken the bold step by proposing to his longtime lover, Chinonso.
Videos from the proposal quickly surfaced on social media, showing the reality TV star on one knee as he asked for her hand in marriage. The beautiful moment ended with a big “yes” from Chinonso, which drew massive reactions online.

Joining the long list of well-wishers, Pere took to Twitter, now called X, to congratulate his colleague. The actor and reality star recalled a personal memory with Cross, revealing how he once drove him to meet Chinonso when she visited Lagos. Pere explained that on that day, Cross spoke passionately about her, insisting that she was the woman he would marry.
In his words, Pere wrote, “I remember when I drove you, @crossdabossike, and dropped you off to see her when she was visiting Lagos. We spoke so much about her. You said you’d marry her, and fast forward, you have. Proud of you, fam. I’m activating myself for groomsman duties. Let’s go!!!”
