The long-running paternity sage surrounding Afrobeats superstar Davido- David Adeleke and alleged daughter Anu Adeleke has taken another turn, with her mother, Ayo Labinjo, dropping a new bombshell on their supposed relationship in February 2013.
In the viral post shared by Labinjo, she directly addressed Davido and challenged Daddy Freeze statement. “I heard that if Davido was poor, I wouldn’t want to have a DNA test. Davido was not super rich when I met him. I only knew him as an upcoming/fast rising singer in February 2013 Dami Duro concert afterparty in Ibadan,” she wrote.
Labinjo stated the private nature of their alleged encounter, stating: “David, YOU and I are the only ones that know who I slept with in February 2013.” She pressed further on financial involvement, asking: “Have you told the world you sent me money on the day of the naming ceremony in November 2013?” Throwing the Davido a shade she said, “You are a boy NOT a man!! You are a dad NOT a father!!”
She also criticized public figures for their silence or alleged protection of Davido’s image. “Daddy Freeze, instead of you to convince David to do the DNA, you are protecting his image. Even Uncle Dele Momodu who is close to The Adelekes is not intervening,” Labinjo stated.
Labinjo also revealed that her daughter has been receiving support from journalist Dr. Kem Olunloyo. Neither Davido nor representatives have issued a direct response to this statement at press time, though the singer has previously dismissed similar claims and stated plans to release test documentation.
