‘You’ve my support’ – Davido congratulates Banky W

Nigerian musician David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has congratulated Banky W on his victory at the house of representatives primaries by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

On Tuesday, Davido tweeted, “Congrats @BankyW! You have my support! Don’t sit at home and complain get up and make a change.”

This is coming after Banky W’s win for the ticket to represent Eti-Osa federal constituency in the house of representatives under the political party, PDP.

The primaries took place on Monday, May 23 and Banky W scored twenty-eight votes to defeat his opponent who scored three votes. Earlier in April, Banky W had announced that he’ll be running for the House of Reps seat. At the time, he wrote,

“We must engage with Nigeria where it is, not where we prefer for it to be. In 2019, we planted the seed. In 2023, by the grace of God, and with your support, we will win the seat. The time for just talking is over. It’s time to #TalkAndDo. I hope I can count on you. We move.”

This is not his first attempt as in 2018, he ran for the house of representatives back in November 2018. However, he lost the elections to Ibrahim Obanikoro of APC.
