Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has reacted to comedian Nasboi’s criticism of bloggers who shared photos and videos allegedly featuring the wife of late actor Alexx Ekubo, whose marriage was reportedly kept away from public attention.
The conversation began after social media users shared images of the woman believed to be Ekubo’s wife, following reports that the actor had secretly married in December 2024.
The development sparked widespread reactions online, with many questioning the decision to reveal details about someone who had intentionally maintained a private life.
Reacting to the situation, Nasboi criticised bloggers for digging up and publishing information about the deceased actor’s wife.
In a post shared on X, the comedian noted that Ekubo had deliberately kept his marriage away from what he described as the “vulture internet.”
He argued that exposing the woman after the actor’s passing was unnecessary and insensitive, adding that being a public figure should not automatically make one’s private life public property.

However, Edochie disagreed with Nasboi’s position. In response to the post, the actor stated that Ekubo should not have kept his marriage a secret in the first place. According to him, public figures should not allow fear of public opinion to dictate their personal decisions.

Edochie further advised celebrities to live freely and ignore criticism, stressing that people will always have something to say regardless of one’s choices.
He concluded by saying blogs should be allowed to do their job while individuals focus on enjoying their lives.
