Adekunle Gold, Afrobeat singer, has taken to social media to reward multiple students who graduated with first-class honors from various universities.
In a generous gesture, he credited each of the students’ accounts with N250,000.
The initiative began when Adekunle Gold invited students to share their transcripts on X (formerly Twitter), asking those who graduated with first-class honors to post their results.
The response was overwhelming, with many students sharing their achievements.

This act of kindness is not new to Adekunle Gold, who is known for his philanthropic efforts, particularly through the Adekunle Gold Foundation. The foundation focuses on supporting individuals living with sickle cell disease who are passionate about pursuing a career in the music industry.

Recall that eelive.ng reported that the award winning singer in June, launched a “5 Star Care” initiative to support individuals living with sickle cell disease, providing free health insurance to 1,000 people in Lagos. The initiative was a personal promise fulfilled by the singer, who has been living with sickle cell anemia since birth. Through a partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Sickle Cell Management Initiative, “5 Star Care” aims to provide comprehensive care and support to those affected by the condition.
