
Nigerian music star Adekunle Gold delivered a standout performance on Sunday night as he closed the prestigious EFG London Jazz Festival at the Royal Festival Hall, but it was his daughter, Deja, who captured hearts with a surprise introduction that set a warm, emotional tone for the evening.

The show opened with young Deja stepping onto the stage to joyfully introduce her father, prompting loud cheers from the audience. The tender moment was followed by a masterful set that blended Afrobeats, Fuji influences, and orchestral music. Backed by the Guildhall Session Orchestra and accompanied by vibrant dancers, Adekunle Gold performed some of his biggest hits including fan favorites like “Orente,” “Sinner,” and “High.”
