Alec Baldwin reveals his Hollywood career might be over

American actor, Alec Baldwin has revealed that his career in Hollywood is possibly over. This is following the fatal incident on the set of his film Rust on October 21 that resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Baldwin said, “My family is all I have. Honest to God, I couldn’t give a s— about my career anymore.”

The 63 year old said this on Thursday night while discussing the tragic event. He stated that he “would go to any lengths to undo what happened.”

The star admitted to reconsidering a possible upcoming project he is signed on to do. He stated, “I said to myself, ‘Do I want to work much more after this? Is it worth it?’. The actor also said that he “can’t imagine” he would ever do a movie that “had a gun in it again,” adding: “I can’t.”

Baldwin released a statement after Hutchins, 42, was killed on the set at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The statement read in part,

“There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins. She was a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours. I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred. I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.” (Sic)

A two-hour 20/20 special will air next week, delving into the events leading up to the shooting and its investigations. The episode will air on ABC on Friday, December 10, at 9:01 p.m. EST, and will be available to stream on Hulu the following day.
