Content creator Caramell Plug has accused Nollywood actress Anita Joseph of using her photograph without permission and digitally replacing her face with the actress’s own before sharing it on social media.
According to Caramell Plug, she was surprised to discover that Anita Joseph had allegedly taken her image, edited it, and posted it publicly despite the two having no prior relationship or interaction online.

Expressing her displeasure, she wrote:“You don’t even follow me on any socials, we don’t know each other. Anita, you removed my head from my picture and inserted your head in it and posted it publicly. You don’t think editing your face into someone else’s picture is weird? And posting it on Instagram? You are even deleting my comments.”
To support her claim, Caramell Plug later shared a video, insisting that the photograph was genuine and not AI-generated, and that she was the original owner of the outfit featured in the image.
Reacting to the allegations, Anita Joseph issued an apology via her Instagram Story, attributing the incident to a member of her team whom she described as her “AI boy.”
She wrote: “Chai, my AI boy said it was an inspiration from AI. This guy wan implicate me. Sorry baby. I can’t even be caught up in this kind of mess. I am so sorry, but you look great. He put my face and my hair, chai this boy. Me wey be picture and clothes myself, chai. You see why I don’t like these AI things. Just negodi. Na where I wan help person promote him work oh.”
