
Veteran Nigerian comedian and actor, Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth, marks his 47th birthday with a heartfelt message of gratitude to his fans, for their unwavering support throughout his 27-year career in the entertainment industry.
Taking to Instagram, Basketmouth reflected on his journey, saying, “47 years on earth, 27 years with you. That means I’ve spent more than half of my life with you guys. Thank you all for rocking with me.”

With a career spanning over two and a half decades, Basketmouth has solidified his position as one of Africa’s most celebrated comedians. He has successfully ventured into various fields, including stand-up comedy, music, acting, and show production, earning recognition across the continent and internationally.
Born on September 14, 1978, in Lagos State, Nigeria, Basketmouth has become a household name in African entertainment.
Basketmouth’s dedication to his craft has earned him numerous accolades, including the National Comedy Award and Best Stand-up Comedian of the Year. He has also expanded his reach through his comedy web series, “Papa Benji,” and his music, with his third studio album, “Uburu,” set to release in October 2023.
