BBNaija’s Khafi, Gedoni are expecting their first child
Gedoni and Khafi, former Big Brother Naija housemates, have announced that they are expecting their first child.
The couple, who could not hide their excitement, shared the good news through their respective Instagram pages.
Confirming the news of her pregnancy, Khafi on her Instagram page “According to some of you here, I have been pregnant for the past two years. I’m glad to say your predictions have finally come true! I couldn’t be happier.”
Also taking to his Instagram page, Gedoni said he is the happiest man on earth.
He wrote “Slow Down Bump ahead.. 😊😊 I’m the happiest Man on this planet. The way God is particular about me ehn.
In 2019, two months after the fourth edition of the Big Brother Nigeria reality show, Gedoni proposed to Khafi on Christmas Day while the lovebirds were on a vacation in Cape Verde.
On April 4, 2020, Khafi and Gedoni cancelled their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In December 2020, the couple finally tie the knot at a private wedding.
The couple each confirmed their marriage on social media sharing a photo from the big day.
“How it started vs How it’s Going Happy Married Life to us,” Khafi had captioned the pictures.
In another post on Instagram, she added: “On this day last year I woke up engaged to the love of my life. The worst thing happened this year but through the tears and sorrow the best also happened too, and that is signing on the dotted line to spending the rest of my life with you. We couldn’t celebrate this year (next year loading!) but genuinely, I celebrate and thank God every day for you @Gedoni. Cheers to married life #MrsEkpataLoaded.”
Similarly, Gedoni had written: “A year ago she said “YES” and some months later she said “YES” again, this time to FOREVER. It’s not been an easy year especially for you. You lost your(our) brother and Covid19 happened. Amidst all these heaviness and heartbreaks you still love and LOVE DEEPLY. I don’t take you for granted IYAWO MI @acupofkhafi and I’ll love you forever.”
