BBNaija’s Mercy and Ike star together in MC Galaxy’s ‘Ije Ego’ music video. This comes days after their rumored breakup.
Their fellow housemate Omashola also makes an appearance in the video, screaming out his famous catchphrase “Obloblo”.
In the video, Mercy and Ike play on the Igbo stereotype of love motivated by money. They meet and dance and wed as MC Galaxy echoes these sentiments in humourous and catchy lines like:
“…seek first her account number/ and her phone number shall be added unto you“
Months ago, there were images circulating of Mercy and Ike in what looked like a wedding setting, sparking rumours that the couple got married. But now, seeing this video, it is pretty clear that it was a leaked clip.
We know for sure that it is over between the two lovers. Ike and Mercy have unfollowed each other on Instagram and Mercy stated that she is single and inavailable.
Interestingly though, could Ike and Mercy’s failed romance have something to do with money? It did cause a lot of fights between them when they were loving up on each other in the Big Brother House.
As we watch this video, we are heartbroken as this is probably the last time we will see our BBNaija power couple together.
