BBNaija’s Mike and Wife Celebrate First Wedding Anniversary
Mike Edwards, Big Brother Naija 2019 first runner up, and Perri Shakes-Drayton, his wife, have taken to social media to share lovely messages to each other on their first wedding anniversary.
Mike shared an adorable wedding photo of the lovebirds in company of a terse message. He wrote:
“When two souls connect you can’t fake it” #weddinganniversary”
In his post, Perri relished her marriage to Mike, toasting to “more great times and exciting moments.”
”ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY…this time last year we tied the knot and I became MRS EDWARDS. A lot has happened between then and now. Here’s to more great times and exciting moments ahead,” Perry wrote on Instagram.
The couple who are expecting their first child together announced that they are expecting a baby boy.
The couple shared the exciting news on Sunday via their YouTube channel, at their ‘Gender reveal party’ which they also named ‘Quarantine party’ with no family members in attendance.
Mike Edwards is a high-jump athlete and entrepreneur. He runs his male grooming and Cigar company, Aireyys, the first black-owned cigar line in the United Kingdom.
Perri Shakes-Drayton is a retired British track and field athlete. She is the 2013 European Indoor Champion in the 400 metres; and won a 2012 World Indoor Championship gold medal in the 4 x 400 metres relay. She has also won silver and bronze medals in the 4 × 400 m relay at the World Championships.
