BBNaija’s Tacha helps rescue man after suicide attempt

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha Akide has helped rescue a young man from committing suicide in Lagos.

On Wednesday, June 16, 2021, fellow BBNaija alum, Prince Nelson Enwerem revealed on Twitter and Instagram that his friend Somto was planning to commit suicide. He appealed to friends and residents close to help save the young man from killing himself. He uploaded the friend’s status and lamented that he would not get to him before he succeeded in taking his own life.

Among those who went searching for the young man was Tacha. The entrepreneur was able to locate him. With the help of another person, Tacha took him to the hospital just in time. She later handed him over to Prince who says he’s okay.

Tacha confirmed this on her Instagram stories and prayed that Somto would never have a reason to attempt suicide again.

The morning after, Prince thanked Tacha via Twitter; writing, “I got a call from a friend that he and @symplytacha have found Somto and are currently in the hospital. Thank you very much Symply_Tacha for your kind heart, and to everyone who showed concern, God bless you too immensely.”
