$5 million per child? Check out Beyonce and Jay-Z’s Crazy Prenup

Beyonce and Jay-Z’s marriage has lasted 12 years, which seems like an eternity by Hollywood standards. This power couple works and lives together with their three children.

The Carters have definitely gone through their share of hard times and struggles. From Jay-Z’s admission of cheating to the infamous fight in the elevator between Solange Knowles and Jay-Z; they have managed to survive all the trials and come out stronger than ever.

But what would have happened if things did not work out?

Prior to their 2008 wedding, Beyonce and Jay-Z reportedly both signed a prenuptial agreement; one that said Beyonce would receive $10 million if the marriage ended before two years; but $1 million a year for every year that they remained married up to 15 years.

In addition, Beyonce and Jay-Z’s prenup detailed that Beyonce would get $5 million for each child they had together throughout the course of their marriage.

Some time ago, the couple went through and updated their agreement, reportedly; negotiating a fifty-fifty agreement in terms of custody for all three of their children and setting up detailed trust funds for their kids.

There’s no word on whether the agreement to give Beyonce $5 million per child still stands, but it seems likely, especially considering Beyonce and Jay-Z’s extravagant lifestyles.
