Buju trolls Wizkid and others as old tweets resurface
Afrobeats singer, Buju, is under fire after a series of old tweets trolling Nigerian celebrities resurfaces. The singer rose to fame in 2019 with his song “Spiritual” featuring rapper and singer, Zlatan. Prior to his rise to fame, Buju definitely was not feeling many of the top artists in Nigeria today.
What Did Buju Tweet?
Under the guise of an ‘underground singer’, Buju tweeted his opinions on Wizkid, Davido and many others over the years.
In one tweet, he calls fellow Afrobeats singer, Mr Eazi overrated. He also calls Daddy Yo by Wizkid “trash.” He has received a lot of criticism online by the two infamous fan group on Twitter NG – 30BG and Wizkid FC.

Buju’s trolling did not stop at Mr Eazi and Wizkid alone, as he also seemed to find afro-fusion hitmaker, Davido, “a childish c-nt.” Quoting a tweet criticizing Nigerian music, Buju mentioned Burna Boy, Brymo, Darey, Kiss Daniel as the “5%” of Nigerian musicians with good music.
The “Feeling” hitmaker was of strong opinion that the type of music being produced in Nigeria at the time was not good enough to be called music. He also seemed to throw shade at Rema in 2020 which has sparked outrage on social media.
The singer also had opinions on Yemi Alade, dismissing her music as not good enough as well. He is yet to make a comment on the trending topic.
Fans took to twitter to express their opinions on the singer’s trolling past.
