Burna Boy, Davido, others, bags Grammy nominations

Nigerian music stars, Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Olamide, and Ayra Starr, have received nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards.

The music stars received the nominations in the maiden African Music category.

Davido was nominated for his hit single ‘Unavailable’. Burna Boy was nominated for ‘City Boy’, Ayra Starr for ‘Rush’, and Asake for ‘Amapiano’ featuring Olamide.

This reflects the international recognition of Nigerian music, with these artists contributing to the global success of Afrobeat and Nigerian mainstream music.

The Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 5, 2024, at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles.
