Charles Awurum Criticizes Nollywood Producers for Casting Bobrisky

Veteran actor, Charles Awurum has called out film producers in the Nigerian movie industry for casting popular social media personality Bobrisky in movie productions.

The comic actor aired his opinion through his Instagram on a video he posted on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. In the video captioned “Bobrisky and the movie industry. #thisworldisrigorousmenshit”, he complained at the drop in values in the industry.

Asides the most recent movie featuring Bobrisky titled “Bobrisky In Love”, he has appeared in movies in the past; he was featured in Tayo Sobola’s 2015 movie, “Ojuloge Obirin” and in Beverly Naya’s documentary “Skin” where he expressed regrets at whitening his skin.

The documentary was screened at the opening of the 2019 iREPRESENT International Documentary Film Festival.
