Davido to take Timeless Concert to Delta State
Afrobeats star Davido has apologized to his Delta state fans for his absence at the Warri Again event held on October 6, 2023.
According to Amaju Pinnick, former president of the Nigerian Football Federation, Davido was paid $98,000 by the organisers, who also paid $18,000 for a private jet to transport the hitmaker to Delta State.
Pinnick stated at the event that Davido did not show up despite agreeing to the date and accepting the payment.
Davido cited a clash of dates with his concert in New Zealand and mentioned that he had already informed the Warri Again organizers about his inability to attend.
Davido expressed regret for the disappointment this caused his fans and pledged to bring his “Timeless Xperience Concert” to Delta State in the future.
This apology came after a controversy surrounding his no-show at the event, with organizers claiming he had accepted payment and then failed to attend.
