D’banj is out with a new single, a collaboration with the ultimate hypeman, Slimcase, titled “Mo Cover Eh”.
In the past year, D’Banj has been determined to regain relevance in the Nigerian music industry, doing so with multiple collaborations with big names like 2face, Tiwa Savage and others.
The Kokomaster begins “Mo Cover Eh” with his signature harmonica playing the familiar melody from his iconic track, “Tongolo”, followed by Cracker Mallo’s electronic beat and Slimcase’s familiar hypes.
Charged with the song’s chorus, Slimcase kicks off the track with the assurance that he’s got you covered, financially and otherwise. D’Banj then takes over from a revved up Slimcase, offering up the same assurances, before announcing that he is still the baddest in the game.
Slimcase carries a lot on the single as he powers up the second verse of the track, in addition to his boisterous chorus. Singing predominantly in Yoruba, Slimcase’s verse is pretty brief but packed with clever lines.
Watch and enjoy!
