Nigerian music veteran D’banj, born Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, has gifted fellow singer Oluwafemi Oladapo Slimcase, who also doubles as a songwriter, hype-man and actor, a brand-new SUV worth ₦65 million.
In the footage shared by Slimcase on Instagram, D’banj handed over the car key to the hypeman who was visibly shocked.
Taking him seconds to react, Slimcase joyfully shouted, lifting D’banj in celebration, removing his shirt and dancing around the car in excitement.
The gift comes with Slimcase’s appointment as brand ambassador for CREAM Platform, an initiative founded by D’banj to empower creative talents across Nigeria. The platform however, operates in partnership with Sterling Bank to provide support, resources, and opportunities for emerging and established artists in the entertainment industry.
D’banj, who is also widely known as the Koko Master is one of Nigeria’s most influential music exports who has a long history of championing talent through various platforms and collaborations. This latest gesture has garnered reactions from netizens who praise him for hiss good deeds in supporting artistes like himself and congratulated Slimcase.
