Onanuga accused VeryDarkMan of being the “conveyor and disseminator” of fake content and stated that the social commentator should face the full weight of the law for allegedly spreading misinformation.
However, Adeyanju, who serves as legal counsel to VeryDarkMan, dismissed the allegations in a public statement shared online. According to him, the circulating audio was doctored and falsely linked to his client. He argued that a simple verification of VDM’s verified social media platforms would show that the activist neither created nor shared the audio.
The lawyer further condemned what he described as attempts to silence his client and called on security agencies to investigate the origin of the manipulated recording and prosecute those responsible for its circulation.
