Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to the Delta State Governor, has reacted critically to the viral video of Nollywood actress-turned-evangelist Tonto Dikeh performing a deliverance session on a schoolgirl.

In a public Facebook post, Success clarified that “nothing is wrong” with Dikeh conducting deliverance, provided it is genuine and not fabricated “under pretense.”

He explained that if the deliverance is unplanned by Dikeh and instead orchestrated spontaneously by the Holy Ghost, it is valid.

However, Success voiced strong disapproval if the act is insincere or manipulated, stating he would be deeply disappointed and warned that God will judge her for misleading people and exploiting faith.

The footage had shown Dikeh kneeling and praying intensely over a young girl lying on the ground in an outdoor setting with onlookers, including uniformed students, vehicles, and assistants watching. She touches the girl’s head and uses what appears to be anointing oil during the session.

This event follows Dikeh’s recent public declaration of faith, discipleship graduation, and evangelism outreach.

The video sparked intense online debate as supporters hail it as evidence of the Holy Spirit’s work and Dikeh’s transformation, while others including figures like Doris Ogala (who petitioned police and NAPTIP over concerns for the minor), accused her of staging it for content, lacking proper training, violating consent (especially with a schoolchild), and turning ministry into performance.
