Destiny’s Child Michelle Williams Loses Dad
Michelle Williams, an American gospel singer and former Destiny’s Child member has announced the demise of her father.
In a post she shared on her social media page, the singer revealed that her father died on Sunday after a 15-year battle with an undisclosed illness.
She described her father as a brave man who fought so hard, concealing the pain associated with his illness until he eventually passed away at 68.
“I just don’t know what to say or where to start. Daddy, you fought harder than those of us that are in good health! For 15 years, you FOUGHT!!! You truly outlived moments where we thought you wouldn’t make it!! Mommy said last night she sang songs to you and you looked so content and had a look of peace in your eyes,” she wrote on Instagram.
“You weren’t in any pain either!! The Lord took you in his arms this morning and I’m so thankful that you are resting in Him!!! I love you Daddy!!!! Nov 13, 1952-Dec 20, 2020.”

In 2017, Michelle Williams had revealed she was suicidal while suffering from depression when she was in Destiny’s Child.
The hugely successful group recorded hits including Say My Name, Bootylicious and Survivor before splitting up in 2006.
