Abass Akande Obesere, Nigerian veteran singer, has dropped the remix for Egungun be Careful; featuring Zlatan Ibile, officially reminding us of his original hit track which was recorded 19 years ago.
The 55-year-old Fuji star made the announcement via social media on Friday alongside a link where fans can access it.
“PKIst de legend Obesere x Zlatan -Egungun now out worldwide. Link in bio,” he wrote on Instagram.
At the turn of the millennium, Abass Akande Obesere, also known as Omo Rapala; staged the most unlikely comeback with his energetic vibes history adding the sonic chemistry between him and Zlatan.
The less-than three-minute, Egungun be Careful remix has gotten generally positive reviews. Fans also praised their chemistry on social media.
The remix for Egungun be Careful was released less than a week after the Fuji star has been trending on social media recently as snippets of his Egungun Be Careful video became a popular meme on Twitter.
Obesere has also announced tour of four countries for the song amid the spread of the coronavirus pandemic across the globe.
Born on January 28 1965, Obesere shot into the limelight through his “vulgar” songs, which openly touch on issues that are considered taboo in the conservative Yoruba community.
