It took Dremo & Mayorkun 3 Years to Shoot ‘Dapada’ Video

DMW rapper, Dremo has released the video to one of the hit singles off the EP ‘Dapada’, which apparently took three years to put together.

Although the ‘Dapada’ single was released in 2018 and the video in 2019, some footage in the video shows that it was actually shot in 2016. So to spice up the video and present it as new, new footage was taken and aptly mashed up to create an exciting experience. Fans get to see throwback and recent footage of both artistes at the same time, singing and dancing to the same song, in a vibrant, thoughtfully arranged sequence.

Mayorkun starts off by sampling D’Prince’s ‘Banana’, before launching into the ridiculously catchy hook. Dremo delivers great, well-written verses, which contain cheeky and quotable lyrics.

The video was directed by Qudus Badmus, now known as Director Q, with Mayorkun and Dremo busting moves all through, in both new and old footages, evidence of their natural synergy when working together.

In 2018, Dremo, dropped his first-ever body of work titled, ‘Codename – Vol 1’, a star-studded 9-track EP which he followed with videos for some of the impressive tracks like ‘Nobody’ and ‘Bigger Meat’.
