Ellie Goulding welcomes first child
English singer, Ellie Goulding has just given birth to her first child. The 34-year-old pop star from Hereford’s husband, Casper Jopling confirmed the news via his Instagram page. Although, he reveals that Goulding and their newborn are “both healthy and happy”, he did not disclose the gender of the baby. The baby was born yesterday, Sunday, May 2.
The 29-year-old new dad asks for privacy in his message. “Extremely grateful.… During this magical and personal moment, we would really appreciate being able to enjoy our privacy. Thank you!,” he adds.
Previously, he had posted a pregnant photo of Goulding two weeks ago with the caption, “My best friend is pregnant btw (with my new best friend ) xx”.
Back in February, the Grammy Award nominee had revealed that she was pregnant. However, they explained that they had found out about the baby on their wedding anniversary back in August, last year. Also, they admitted that the baby had been a surprise.
“That was not the plan, the thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality. Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human”, Goulding said in an interview with British Vogue.
It happened around “the time when Caspar and I went away briefly when we were allowed to for our one-year anniversary, and that’s basically when we found out. It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary,” she added.
The Love Me Like You Do hit maker, wedded her art dealer husband, Jopling in 2020. Although, they got engaged in 2018.
