Emmys 2020: See Full List of Winners

Some of the biggest names in TV were honoured at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards last night. The competition for the 2020 Emmys was stiff because, despite it all, it has really been a good year for TV.

Watchmen,  which was up for 26 nominations, received 11 Emmys in total, more awards than any other program.

Regina King won the Emmy for lead actress in a limited series or movie for her performance on the HBO show. Her co-star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II received the supporting actor in limited series or movie award for his work on  Watchmen.

Schitt’s Creek

Schitt’s Creek swept all the Emmys comedy categories, winning the first seven awards during the telecast, including best comedy series. The show won a total of nine Emmys.

Daniel Levy won for the awards for writing, directing and supporting actor in a comedy series during the 2020 Emmys. His co-stars Catherine O’Hara, Eugene Levy and Annie Murphy also each won in their respective categories.

The Jimmy Kimmel-hosted show was virtual, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a first for the Television Academy.

State-of-the-art cameras were sent to nominees in advance, for your favourite stars to make appearances and accept awards on the telecast.
