‘Fate of Alakada’ to Premiere on Netflix in March

Toyin Abaraham‘s 2020 action comedy sequel, Fate of Alakada, has been acquired by streaming giant Netflix; and is now set to premiere on March 5.

This was revealed in a social media post by Filmone.

It wrote: “Fate of Alakada will be streaming on @naijaonnetflix from March 5th Save the date!”

The comedy which premiered in cinemas in 2020 will be showing on Netflix alongside, Just In Time and Nigerian American.

The star-studded movie continues the hilarious journey of Yetunde (Toyin Abraham). It stars Abraham (who also doubles as Executive Producer and Producer), Broda Shaggi, Anto Lecky, and Odunlade Adekola. There are also cameo scenes for celebrities including Davido, Peruzzi, Swanky, Mercy Eke, Mabel Makun, Cobhams Asuquo and Funke Bucknor.

The comedy movie, which was directed by Kayode Kasum, has had an impressive theatrical run considering the pandemic. So far, the film has amassed over N100 million in box office.
