The Prayer That Led My Husband to Me- Ciara
In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, American music-star, Ciara revealed the prayer that brought Russell Wilson, her husband into her life.
Before Ciara met her dream man, she was a single mother who shared a son with rapper Future. The pair were engaged to be married before he cheated on her, leading to their split.
The singer had explained that after her very public breakup with her ex-fiancé; she feared that the world would view her as a failure.
Ciara opened up years later on The Red Table Talk about how the separation affected her, saying:
“I’d have moments when I would be in the shower, I’d be crying. I had a few different settings — crying in the bedroom, crying in the shower … crying because I’m not in the happiest place, and it hurts what I’m going through.”
She later found love, and married Russell Wilson in 2016 and went on to have two children with him.
Ciara told Winfrey that she was very specific in her requests to God about her husband-to-be and prayed for a man like Wilson.
“I was just intentional in my thoughts and intentional in my prayers,” she said.
She added that she also worked on herself and committed to loving herself.
“So it was really me more so envisioning where I wanted to go. Speaking life into where I wanted to go, writing down where I wanted to go, and then pressing go to get there.
