Finally! Teni Drops Debut Album

Nigerian singer, Teniola ‘Teni’ Apata, has finally released her debut album Wondaland.

The 17-track-album which was released in the early hours of today comes as a follow-up to her EPs, Billionaire (2019) and The Quarantine Playlist (2020).

It engages a squad of producers including Pheelz, Damayo, Tempoe, P.Prime, Millamix, Krizbeatz, and Ozedikus. The talented singer only featured one artiste, on the album, which is Davido.

She recently teamed up with the FEM crooner on For You Visuals which centered on a prison escape.

Before she released Wondaland, Teni said in an interview with Apple Music: “I wanted to do an album that anyone from my mother’s hometown in Ondo, or my dad’s in Ekiti—even to Osaka, Japan—can pick up and be entertained, inspired and educated.

“You can’t record your debut album again, so I ensured Wondaland will be that album I would listen to in 20 years, and it would still sound just as fresh.”

Teni has been making waves in the music industry for a few yeas now. She gained prominence after releasing the single Fargin in September 2017. She made her breakthrough after releasing the hit singles Askamaya, Case and Uyo Meyo in 2018.
