Nigerian film critic Dami Dawson has shared his candid opinion on the recent works of Nollywood star Funke Akindele, sparking conversations among film enthusiasts and fans alike.

Dawson, known for his critical takes on the Nigerian film industry, praised Akindele’s performance and production in A Tribe of Judah, describing it as a strong and commendable project.
However, he expressed a contrasting view regarding her subsequent work, Everybody Loves Jenifa, suggesting that it did not quite meet the same standard.

“Funke Akindele did well with A Tribe Of Judah going From That To Everybody Loves Jenifa felt like a dip”, he said.
