Get Ready for 8th Edition of Africa Writes 2019 from July 5th

The 8th edition of Africa Writes, sponsored by the Royal African Society, is set to hold from Friday July 5, 2019 to Sunday July 7, 2019 at the British Library, 96 Euston Rd, London.
 
This edition will feature over sixty of the most influential voices in contemporary writing from Africa and diaspora. Author of the novel “An Orchestra of Minorities”, shortlisted for the Man Booker International Prize, Chigozie Obioma will headline this year’s events with a reading from his debut novel “The Fishermen”.
 
Africa Writes is a fertile ground for inspiration and discovery of new talents. Audiences at this year’s festival will be introduced to Angolan literature with musician and author, Kalaf Epalanga and Yovanka Paquete Perdigao. They will also meet with Caine Prize shortlisted writers on 6th of July as well as learn about the literary innovation in East Africa featuring Writivism, Storymoja and Huza Press on the 7th of July.
